Fans everywhere have been eagerly keeping up with Phoebe Bridgers, singer/songwriter most known for her hit song "Kyoto," as she emerged from a three-year hiatus in May, announcing an intimate no-phone show in Roswell, NM where she played a mix of her previously released music as well as new, currently unreleased songs.

Throughout her solo pop-up shows, Phoebe has introduced five to seven new songs from her yet-to-be-released album that fans have dubbed "PB3." Many fans report she’s hinted the record has a space theme and a strong UFO/alien aesthetic. Now, coincidences are fueling fan theories. Several performance locations – Roswell among them – carry a long history of UFO lore, making the speculation feel a little more cosmic.

The hitmaker also sprinkled in some of her popular hits, such as "Moon Song,""Scott Street," and "Motion Sickness." In addition, some cities got "surprise" songs, or rather songs most didn’t expect to hear, including "Waiting Room," "Sidelines," as well as Phoebe playing "Demi Moore," for the first time since 2019. Little is known about the new songs, as she has a strict no phone, camera, or pen and paper policy!

Since her first show back in Roswell, she’s played sixteen shows across the United States, including shows in Texas, Ohio, North Dakota, Kentucky, and more.

One fan on Tiktok, user @milehighbrendan, was carefully theorizing where Phoebe would show up next as she played her mysterious trail of pop-up shows, often guessing right and creating his own "map"of her trail of shows, often guessing accurate locations and just being off by a single day or two. Fans were in awe at Brendan’s accuracy, as this series of pop-up shows were a surprise to many.

Phoebe then moved on to New York City, where she performed at Madison Square Garden on June 4, with ticket proceeds benefiting the Immigration Bond Freedom Fund. Earlier, her pop-up shows had been announced the same day, fans lined up at the box office to buy tickets in person and received specialized wristbands indicating their "tour" date.

For this surprise MSG show, she had fans register through Seated, with different price tiers each acting as a donation to the aforementioned fund. Fans had the chance to choose from either $1, $5, or $20 donations that would then put them in a "lottery,"where fans selected at random would be charged for the tickets for Bridgers’ possibly most anticipated show yet.

Fans all around New York and the surrounding area applied, anxiously awaiting to find out if they got tickets or not. On June 3, tickets were released at random, with a seating chart also randomized. Many fans also got off the waitlist.

Stages were set-up at Madison Square Garden, with signs reading "WELCOME BACK TO THE GARDEN PHOEBE BRIDGERS," displayed across the LED screens.

Fans with tickets were looking forward to what Phoebe would play that night, and many speculated it was the show where she would "officially" announce her third album. They also speculated her setlist would consist of the new album in its entirety, with some of her older songs in between.
