Sydney Sweeney's recent invitation to Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos' lavish wedding in Venice raised some eyebrows, but now the mystery behind the invite is coming to light. According to sources speaking with Us Weekly on Monday (July 14), the "Euphoria" star is gearing up to launch a new lingerie line, with Sánchez and Bezos backing the project as investors.

"This has been a huge project for her and something she's been working on for the last year," an insider revealed. Bezos' involvement reportedly goes beyond just being an investor, as the lingerie line is supported by Coatue, a private equity firm partnered by Ben Schwerin.

Coatue recently received a $1 billion infusion from Bezos and fellow tech magnate Michael Dell via the Coatue Innovation Fund, according to Economic Times.

Though Sydney's representatives have yet to comment publicly, this isn't her first foray into fashion. In 2023, Sweeney collaborated with Frankie's Bikinis on a swimwear collection inspired by Italian summer romance, which the brand called its "sexiest ever."

Sydney herself modeled the collection and told Elle, "It's powerful to show the world you are unapologetically yourself. We wanted pieces that made people feel confident and free in their bodies."

At the wedding last month, fans were quick to speculate about Sydney's connection to Bezos and Sánchez. Some even joked that her famous figure was the reason for the invite.
