Jelly Roll will be formally inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on March 10, in a moment that feels both personal and historic. Lainey Wilson, friend, frequent collaborator, and fellow Opry member who rose through the industry alongside him, will do the honors.
The ceremony will also feature performances from his mentor Craig Morgan, comedian Leanne Morgan, singer-songwriter Ernest, and other friends who have been part of his journey.
For Jelly Roll, the Opry stage has been more than a venue, it’s been a touchstone. The hitmaker has spoken about a "life-changing" moment years ago when, newly released from prison, he sat in the Opry audience and watched Morgan perform "Almost Home." Morgan later invited him to join the Opry via a video message while Jelly Roll was on The Joe Rogan Experience. The chart-topping artist made his Opry debut on November 9, 2021 – a first step toward this official membership.
The induction comes on the heels of a big awards run, as Jelly Roll swept the 2026 Grammys. He took home Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Hard Fought Hallelujah” with Brandon Lake, Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Amen" with Shaboozey, and Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken.
