In a highlight of the evening, Miley was honored with the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for her enchanting new song, "Dream As One," featured in the sequel, Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Dressed to impress in a tailored Tom Ford suit, complete with a striking black blazer and matching embossed pants, Miley made a statement on the red carpet that was as powerful as her music. During her acceptance speech, Miley shared her thoughts on the nature of awards shows and praised the hardworking talent behind some of the most popular projects for fans.
"So often during awards season, we’re set up as competitors, but we’re meant to be a community, not opponents," she said. "There is no single best; it’s only our personal best work. Numbers can make it feel like a sport, but performance runs so much deeper than a scoreboard, because each artist they bare their soul in a completely unique way, and every contribution leaves its own mark on history."
She continued, "Whether you’re in or out of this industry, we all have a persona, even the ones that are rooted in authenticity, because self-creation is an art form, and all of us perform genuinely. That’s something that I deeply admire in both award-winning actors and actresses, and the drag queens of Toucans – they’re kind of the same."
While walking the red carpet, the "Flowers" singer even honored her own legacy and how she plans to celebrate her work within the next few months. Speaking to Variety, Miley was asked whether she had any anniversary plans for Hannah Montana, her Disney series that turns 20 this year.
“Absolutely. We’re working hard on them,” she uttered.
When the reporter egged her on for more details, she remained tight-lipped.
"I can’t tell you," before adding, "You see the bangs."
The subtle gesture to her hairstyle is a subtle nod to her character’s signature look. In the 2006 hit show, the award winner plays Miley Stewart, a teenager living a double life as the pop star Hannah Montana.

“I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this that now sits here today,” she told SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio. "Without Hannah, there really wouldn’t be this kind of…this me."
