The streaming giant unveiled a slate of new and returning projects...here are the highlights!
The streaming giant renewed many binge-worthy shows, including Love Is Blind, Bridgerton, Running Point, Big Mistakes, and My Life With the Walter Boys!
Love Is Blind is a huge draw-in for Netflix audiences, with its next season coming out in Fall 2026, taking place in Boston, MA, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey once again. Likewise, Bridgerton will release its fifth season in 2027, while Running Point, Big Mistakes, and My Life With the Walter Boys have all just been renewed with no further information. However, Netflix did confirm that My Life With the Walter Boys season three will be coming out this year.
Netflix also announced various new projects, including A Different World, a sequel series to the original under the same title, following the daughter of characters Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, and her experience at an HBCU. They also announced the new Scooby Doo: Origins, which stars McKenna Grace, Maxwell Jenkins, Paul Walter Hauser, and more. The Pride and Prejudice series was also unveiled, starring Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden. Many comedy specials were announced as well, including Mike Tyson, Stravos Halkias, and more!
In addition to all the new projects unveiled, Netflix announced a third Grown Ups installment, in which Adam Sandler is slated to return. Other casting information is unknown as of right now, but fans are hoping the original cast (Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, etc) return!
A special announcement was also dropped that Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters would receive a world tour in 2027! K-pop Demon Hunters was one of Netflix’s most popular film releases of 2025, with the song "Golden” from the film topping Billboard charts and winning an Oscar.
The highlight of the night that fans everywhere are discussing is the first sneak peek at East of Eden, starring Florence Pugh, Joseph Zada, Christoper Abbott, and welcoming the return of Mike Faist to the screen, which has fans overjoyed!
East of Eden is based on John Steinbeck’s classic novel, which follows two families, the Hamiltons and the Trasks, who have overlapping destinies. Fans are most excited about the return of Mike Faist, who’s been rather silent and hidden since Challengers in 2024, previously known for his Broadway roles in Newsies and Dear Evan Hansen, as well as the musical movie adaptation of West Side Story. Fans are also ecstatic to see Joseph Zada on the big screen, as he’s a newcomer to the Hollywood scene, having a role in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping film.
