Kyle Cooke is pushing back hard against a wild fan theory that he and ex-wife Amanda Batula faked their marriage.

The Summer House star and Loverboy founder, 43, responded sarcastically to a now-deleted fan post on Threads that suggested the pair’s 2021 nuptials were staged.

"You got me," Cooke wrote, mocking the claim and listing off real-life credentials. "I’m an actor and faked a $200K wedding in front of my entire family, friends, and the world. The only actor with a MBA, a SBA loan, 2 businesses, and an acquired set of skills that lets me recall my scripted lines from memory when drunk, even blackout. I’m a jack of all trades, which is exactly why I’m capable of pulling off such trickery. Oh, wait, here’s a pic of us at Hillsborough town hall. Respectfully, please take off your tinfoil hat."

Die-hard Bravoholics, however, never really bought the conspiracy.

"We call that a Cooke-ed by Kyle 🤌👨‍🍳," wrote a fan under his clap back. "Your dedication to being a wonderful ex-husband should be studied 👏🏼," added another.

The couple tied the knot on Sept. 25, 2021, in Batula’s parents’ backyard after postponing a 2020 wedding due to the pandemic, and several Summer House castmates attended. The pair announced an amicable separation on Jan. 19, writing on Instagram that they had "mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple" and asking for privacy as they "focus on our personal growth and healing."

The rumor mill ramped up again when Batula, 34, confirmed a relationship with co-star West Wilson in late March. Now fans are especially hungry to see Tuesday’s reunion episode (airing tonight, May 26, on Bravo) after new details emerged about a recent sit-down between West and Kyle.

On the May 25 episode of the Show Me Something podcast, which West co-hosts with WNBA player Sophie Cunningham, West, 31, said he and Cooke spent roughly three hours talking last week about the fallout.

"I’m not going to say [we’re] good. Nothing’s like, perfect right now, but we talked for like three hours on Wednesday," claims West on his podcast. "I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say we filmed a scene or not. I don’t know if it was for Summer House or for In The City."

West continued, "I offered. I was like, 'Dude, I’m not trying to get to a better place with you for this f***ing show. I do care about you as a friend, and this doesn’t need to be filmed.’ Kyle was like, 'This all happened. Our lives have been on camera. Might as well just film it.'"

West told listeners the conversation was "calm and peaceful," far different from the tense moments captured at the Season 10 reunion in April.

"I’m glad we did it because it was obviously awkward and weird to start, but I think we made a lot of progress. It was not a gunfight. It was very calm and peaceful and trying to hear each other and get to a better place," he explained. "I really appreciate him doing that. One, just hearing me out, and two, being nice about it, and three, ending on that note, will probably be better for me because it was a much better environment to talk about everything than the reunion was. When the reunion ends, odds are not great for me, so that opportunity, I really appreciated him for."

Cooke and Batula also addressed their split on the In the City premiere, which aired May 19 and included footage shot April 9, just days after Batula and West went public.

In the episode, Batula tearfully described giving the relationship "everything I had" and admitted, "I was tired, I had nothing left in me to fight." Cooke told her he still worries about her mental health and emphasized he was trying "to be a good friend."

Tonight’s reunion installment is sure to keep conversations and conspiracy theories buzzing. Let us know how you feel about this shocking development in the comments or on social media @fandomdaily_.
