Pride Month is here, and we're here to highlight the icons with outfit inspo to slay the day!
It's Pride Month around the world! We want you to be fashion-ready for all of your pride parades, drag brunches, etc! Here are eight LGBTQ+ style icons to inspire your next outfit that'll truly pop!
Ethel Cain
A modern queer icon, transgender indie singer/songwriter Hayden Anhedönia, aka Ethel Cain has proven again and again she's capable of creating music that transends any specific genre. She is most known for her songs "American Teenager," and "Televangelism," she is a talented artist that many queer people identify with, and feel seen by. If you're feeling like repping Preacher's Daughter this pride month, here's a dress similar to the one pictured above. Ethel is also very keen to camo, southern aesthetics, so here's a more camo look, shirt, shorts, and hat!
Reneé Rapp
A lesbian icon we all know and love! Infamous for her role in the musical rendition of Mean Girls, as well as her own music career, and her role in The Sex Lives of College Girls, she's a queen we know and love! She's a style icon as well, and this outfit featuring a New York Dolls tee is perfect for any pride event! You can find the shirt here, as well as a similar skirt to pair with here.
Troye Sivan
Another modern queer icon, Troye Sivan is most known for his friendship with Charli XCX, as well as his songs "Rush," "YOUTH," and "One of Your Girls." Many may also know him from his older YouTube channel, where he used to collab with queer creators like Tyler Oakley and Connor Franta. He is a true queer icon! If you want to copy this outfit from his Gap campaign, here's the shirt, the pants, and similar shoes!
Freddie Mercury
A classic queer icon, Freddie Mercury was most known for his role in the band Queen, and as a legendary queer icon in a time where being "out" was considered dangerous. His legacy carries on with his music that trends from generation to generation, as well as passing from HIV/AIDS, and becoming a trigger for mainstream coverage and research of the AIDS movement. If you're feeling more colorful and want to wear something show-stopping, you can find a similar jacket and pants to rock out in. (Mustache grown seperately).
Elton John
Another classic icon, Elton John is a highly talented musician most knwon for his songs "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Your Song." He still has an impact today, collaborating with fellow queer artist Brandi Carlile, and being featured in many films within the last ten years. To recreate one of Elton's many iconic outfits, you can find the sunglasses here, and a similar shirt and pants.
Chappell Roan
A newer, yet extremely familiar face, Chappell Roan is one of our favorite LGBTQ+ Icons! With many queer love songs, she is most known for her hits "Casual" and her hit single "Pink Pony Club." She is very near and dear to the queer community, exploding in popularity in 2024. She is always making appearances in outfits that blow the audience away, and is the perfect pride month inspiration! You can find a similar bodysuit, boots, and cowboy hat as well!
Harry Styles
While not openly queer himself, Harry Styles has been a driving force for pride over the years, and many queer people find themselves endowed by his continous appreciation for the community, often holding up pride flags at shows. Harry is also a figure not afraid to feel proud of his masculinity, often wearing dresses and more "feminine" outfits, breaking out of gender norms. To recreate a chic and iconic outfit, you can find a similar shirt and pants to piece together.
Lucy Dacus
For those who want to look a little more sophisticated this pride month, Lucy Dacus is your outfit inspiration! A queer artist who is most known for her song "Night Shift," as well as her being 1/3 of the supergroup Boygenius, alongside Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker. Her WLW love songs are often heartfelt and something queer audiences truly resonate with. To recreate her rather iconic "suit" look, you can find a similar top, jacket, and pants as well!
Trixie Mattel
One of the most iconic and most beloved drag queens, known for her time on Rupauls Drag Race, as well as the winner of Rupaul’s Drag Race All-Stars season 3, there’s so much to love about her! She has an outstanding sense of style, and her looks are easily one you could recreate for pride!
Madonna
Finally, an OG queer icon, Madonna is infamous for her many hits including “Like a Virgin" and “Material Girl!" Madonna is a representation of pride and what it means to be proud, and her outfits are nothing short of that! Her corset pieces are stunning, so why not recreate?
